Welcome to Sweetly Tart. I started Sweetly Tart in November of 2009 because I was spending far too much time on the internet reading (and salivating) over other peoples food blogs and sometimes making their recipes. When I wasn’t reading food blogs and puttering in the kitchen, I was reading cooking magazines and cook books and plotting to take trips to locales both near and far in search of the most delicious prepared foods and ingredients I could get my hands on.
A lot of things have changed since I first started the blog, the most important being that I now am a professional baker. That’s right, I get paid to do the one thing I love the very most to do. But lest I gloat on my good fortune too much, it’s probably safe to say you make more than me. Chef on Food Network? You might be doing OK. Chef in the real world? Well, at least you are doing what you hopefully love. I’m lucky for I am in love.
From time to time I hear people say that they forget to eat. “Oh my, is it 3 pm already? I haven’t even thought of lunch yet!” I would *never* say that. Some people eat to live, I live to eat. Join me as I taste my way through life with mouth wide open…

Hello, Great work, I’ve bookmarked this page and have a feeling I’ll be returning to it regularly.
Hi Jennifer,
I work as a nutritional consultant and have a client with cancer. He has been ordering milk that comes from Battenkill creamery in Salem NY. I saw your comment in a post about you living near the farm. We are trying to confirm if the farm uses cows that are grass-fed and pasture raised etc. Another comment on the same blog post said the farm was just like a Factory farm so we are concerned.
Would you happen to know?
Thanks,
Jared
Hi Jennifer,
Can I bug you for a minute? Could you please update my blog URL on your blogroll? I FINALLY bought my domain, so now I’m at http://dozenroses13.com
Michael bought his as well, so The World Through My Lens is now at http://michaelthenry.com
I hope you’re doing well!
All the best,
~Rose~
Hi Jennifer,
Great site, loved the pictures and have added a link to your site from ours.
I’m a mother and teacher and recently started my own site called http://www.kidshealthyrecipes.com as I wanted to help parents give their children a love of cooking and healthy good food.
Would you add a link to our site under your food bloggers? Let me know
Keep up the good work.
